I came upon this article by chance, I like searching for articles about the israeli scouts (Zofim), as a member i think parent's visiting days are silly. The expirence of being in the forest for days (nine of them for me) is great, I was a the jerusalem scouts camp this year (I'm from the tel-aviv area) and it was amazing! I'm very happy that you enjoyed the building yourself as they take a painstaking amount of time to plane and build. in http://www.zofim.org.il,there was an article about parents visiting days you should read it!

Meanwhile, all the other parents brought a ton of (kosher, of course!) junk food. Back then, I felt like a weirdo. But I'd probably do the same thing to my kids.
